The assignment itself helps one learn how to interact in a workplace and is a refreshing break from classes. Yes, it gives you a perspective of different aspects of business you cannot get elsewhere. Yes, participating in a co-op allows the student to experience not just the coursework related aspects of a job, but subtleties about the corporate world as well. Yes, because I feel you gain valuable experience that employers look for when hiring full-time employees. Yes, it is a great opportunity to learn things you cannot learn in school. You can make professional contact, improve upon leadership, communication and technical skills, and apply classroom learning to the real world. The co-op experience provides valuable knowledge about working in the industry that cannot be learned in class. I would because it does a lot to help you meet your peers in your field of interest. It would allow someone to get a better job after graduation because they have experience in the basic work. Of course, not only do you get a break from classes, but you learn so much about the industry before even graduation. The added experience is a great help in today's lack luster job market. Yes, mostly because I learned so much that I could not learn in the classroom. Yes, it was a great experience and made me feel better prepared to enter the work force. Yes, because it not only helps you to enhance your technical skills but to also gain confidence in your own abilities. Yes, great work experience that you could never get from classes. Yes, excellent learning experience, on-job experience, experience in interviewing/professional communications, many valuable experience. Definitely, the experience was excellent. I've never worked in a position like my co-op. It was a very valuable experience. Yes, it's a wonderful way to learn more about a major. |
