Graduate Cooperative EducationThe Graduate Cooperative Education Program is an academically based partnership between the Case School of Engineering and sponsoring organizations in which engineering graduate students apply their technical knowledge and research skills in positions and projects at sponsoring organizations. While on co-op assignment, graduate students apply and learn new scientific, engineering, and business approaches while assisting the sponsoring organization to achieve a short-term objective. Sponsoring organizations benefit by having highly qualified graduate students provide assistance with their technical and/or business operations. The Graduate Co-op Program requires the teaming of the University, students, and Co-op sponsors to enhance the student's educational experiences. The Co-op Program is an excellent avenue for academia and industry to partner in various projects and research. Both Master's and Ph.D. students may become involved in the Program. Graduate students will be required to complete a minimum of one seven-month co-op experience, consisting of a summer and contiguous spring or fall semester. This experience can serve as a starting point for the research project or to augment the student's on-campus research with complimentary experience.
