The CWRU/Waseda Connection

students3

In the summer of 2002, the Case School of Engineering began an exchange program for undergraduate students with one of Japans most noteworthy and highly ranked technical colleges, Waseda University.

The Case School of Engineering has maintained this on-going exchange each year, with CSE students experiencing a stay at Waseda University in late May to mid June, while Waseda students experience a stay at Case in late August to mid September.

Each fall, Waseda students travel to Cleveland to stay at Case for four weeks. At Case, the Waseda students are exposed to our language and culture, residence halls and homestays, engineering classes, lab and plant tours, spend time interacting with Case students, faculty, and staff, and visit many Cleveland attractions. If you would like to get involved with the visiting Waseda student activities, please contact Debbie Fatica.

CSE students enrolled in the program stay at Waseda for four weeks where they become familiar with the Japanese language and culture. Students spend time with Waseda faculty and students, attend technical and language classes, participate in an internship, experience a homestay, and tour Tokyo's finest attractions.
